About this holiday home

Experience the charm of the province of South Holland from this lovely house close to the idyllic Grevelingen Lake, the Herkingen bank and its beach. The modern accommodation is lovingly decorated and features a hot tub in the garden, to unwind after a fun day. Parking is available at the residence (maximum 1 car) and at the nearby visitor car park. The enclosed garden houses a dog washing area. Let the holidays begin!.

Herkingen is a small village in the Netherlands, located on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee. From Herkingen, you can explore the island perfectly, but neighbouring Schouwen-Duiveland is also worth a visit. All major beaches are within easy reach and the immediate surroundings offer beautiful cycling and walking paths through nature reserves and dunes. Here you will take the most beautiful holiday photos! With its great location on Lake Grevelingen, Herkingen is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. You can sail, windsurf, kite surf, swim and fish, among other things. The nearby Brouwersdam beach also offers numerous water sports activities, sailing and windsurfing schools and water sports equipment rental. There are 2 marinas, a short distance from a restaurant, pizzeria and café. Lake Grevelingen is also a hotspot for birdwatchers, with a wealth of bird species. For culture lovers, the region offers a range of historical sights, including the Ouddorp lighthouse, the Goedereede fortress and charming Zierikzee.

Haus bestens ausgestattet vom Zahnstocher bis zu den Handtüchern alles vorhanden und in guter Ausstattung. Also alle Utensilien, die man braucht sind alle da. Vor allem für Hunde wirklich alles vorhanden, extra Hundehandtücher, Futternäpfe etc. und man staune sogar Hundekühldecken. Ein Besuch im Hot Tub Badefass ist sehr schön. Insgesamt ist das Haus inklusive Vermieter sehr empfehlenswert, gerne wieder.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft! Es war super sauber, ordentlich und genau wie auf den Fotos abgebildet. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und sehr zuvorkommen. In der Unterkunft war alles vorhanden was man sich so vorstellt, und noch viel mehr.  Wir kommen gerne wieder! Vielen Dank für den perfekten Urlaub!

Take wonderful cycling trips through the nature reserves and historic villages and towns in the area (bike rental in the harbour). See the flamingos of Battenoord (from October) and experience pure beach life on the beaches of Grevelingen Lake and the North Sea. Fancy some entertainment? In 30 minutes you can be in Renesse. Rotterdam is 60 minutes away. And after a day full of discoveries, enjoy the peace in the house's beautiful garden, make use of the hot tub and watch the South Holland sun set with a cool drink. The owners of this well-kept holiday home will do everything to make your holiday a success. Everything has been thought of in and around the house. Udo and Barbara are very experienced landlords and know exactly what you need in a holiday home. Your dog can come along (for a fee, maximum 2 medium-sized dogs), there is even a 'pet-spa' so your dog can get his paws nice and clean after a walk. The garden is also fully fenced (about 2 metres high) and enclosed. The highlight, of course, is the beautiful wood-fired hot tub in the garden. Goeree-Overflakkee is a beautiful island for walking, cycling and sports activities. From Herkingen, you can visit many nice towns, take a day trip to Rotterdam or explore one of the interesting islands of Zeeland. By car, for example, you can reach Zierikzee in half an hour. The Slikken of Flakkee nature reserve is practically on your doorstep
