About this holiday home

Want to experience life on and around the water in a harbour? This houseboat overlooking the Uitgeestermeer lake feels like a floating apartment. Start your days with a fresh cup of Nespresso coffee while overlooking the passing boats. In the bedrooms with comfortable box-spring beds, you will enjoy a carefree night's sleep. And what about the terrace, which is perfect for an afternoon of sunbathing? Can you see yourself sitting there?.

There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. The park is close to sea/beach, nice towns such as Volendam and Monnickendam on the Markermeer and the large cities Alkmaar, Haarlem and Amsterdam. The park is easily accessible by motorway and Schiphol Airport is also nearby. The nearby harbour offers a bistro and brasserie, as well as bicycle and boat rental. From here, you can easily cycle or sail to lovely places along the Uitgeestermeer or further away, such as the Zaanse Schans or the Noordhollands Dune Reserve. .

Where can I park my car at this accommodation?

This accommodation does not have its own car park. On a few minutes walk there are 2 large parking lots. With luggage trolleys one can bring the luggage to the accommodation.

Is the holiday home easily accessible by public transport?

From Uitgeest station, it is 14 minutes by bus and then a 1-minute walk to the house. Walking distance from station is 1.9 km (about 24 walking minutes).

Is a fishing licence required?

Fishing is allowed from the terrace of the cottage without a permit. If you take a boat out onto the Alkmaardermeer to fish, you do need a permit. This cannot be bought at reception.
