This cosy family campsite is in a special area of North Holland, the former Wadden Island of Wieringen. It is within walking distance of the Wadden Sea and a fine sandy beach. The chalet is modern, with a spacious open living room, a modern kitchen, and two bathrooms. From your terrace, you have a great view. Children are free to play in the playgrounds or enjoy the entertainment. If you don't like cooking, sit on the terrace or in the restaurant and prepare for a delightful experience!.
You can easily walk from the campsite to the Lutjestrand on the Amstel Lake. The recreation area has kitesurfing, windsurfing, and a sandy beach. There is also a nice eating place here. It is especially nice to have a swimming pool to swim safely. On the sandy beach, you will find various play equipment for different ages, such as a water table and a volleyball net.
From the campsite, you can reach the Wadden Sea in no time. But if you want more beach fun, take a day trip to Callantsoog. Callantsoog is one of the oldest seaside resorts in the Netherlands. It is known for its immaculate, wide sandy beach. Here, you can enjoy a long beach walk or a sunny day.
The rolling countryside lends itself to lovely hiking or cycling trips. The landscape consists of meadows with sheep, small villages and polder areas with unique flora and fauna. Just before the Afsluitdijk lies Den Oever, an attractive fishing village and a paradise for nature lovers and those seeking peace. Various activities are organised here, such as mudflat hiking, shrimp fishing, dew walking, sport fishing, and, in summer, spectacular seal trips from the harbour to the Wadden Sea. Culture seekers will also enjoy the Viking Information Centre, which has a permanent exhibition on the Vikings.
By car, you can reach Den Helder in just a few minutes; this city has a rich maritime history. Because the town is surrounded by water on three sides, Napoleon chose Den Helder to build the most extensive naval base with a shipyard in the Netherlands. Willemsoord houses the Naval Museum and the Lifeboat Muse just outside the city centre. There is plenty to see and experience for young and old alike. The most unique thing is to see the inside of the Tuna, a huge submarine. Den Helder also has a lively nightlife, excellent restaurants, numerous shops, cinemas and a beautiful theatre.
Those looking to soak up more Dutch history should visit Alkmaar. This old, typical Dutch city has beautiful buildings and unique canal houses known for their gables lining the canals. The cheese market is a real experience.
You can also be in the heart of Amsterdam from the campsite in an hour's drive.
In short, it is an ideal location full of peace, space, and beach fun within easy reach, beautiful nature, and historic villages and towns nearby.
On Sunday, Easter Monday and Whit Monday the departure time is at the latest at 13:00 hours at this holiday home

From Den Helder, take the boat towards Texel. Sailing out to sea is already an experience, and then you arrive at Wadden Island with its beautiful lighthouse. If you have good mobility, a mudflat walk is highly recommended, as you will walk on the seabed; it's for good reason it's a Unesco World Heritage Site
