About this holiday home

The very moment you step into this luxurious apartment, you'll head straight to the spacious open living area to slide open the doors to the terrace. Standing on the wooden veranda, gazing over the water, you'll know: vacation has started! Spend your days fishing, swimming, or rent a boat to explore the area. Enjoy your meals with stunning water views. Everything is conveniently on one level, with a modern kitchen, Smart TV, and audio equipment in the cozy living room.

Naturally, you explore the area here from the water. You can hire a boat, a canoe or a windsurfboard in the immediate vicinity. The surroundings, which consist of water, dykes, windmills and dunes, are also great to explore by bike. Along the way, you snack on herring, have a kibble or a croquette sandwich at one of the many outdoor cafés. We also definitely recommend a visit to beautiful Alkmaar. Alkmaar is famous for its cheese market, order a cheeseboard and glass of heineken somewhere and appreciate the Netherlands. If you want to enjoy the sea, go to the seaside beaches of Castricum or Egmond aan Zee.

Top Unterkunft, haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Tolle Aussicht auf den Kanal mit schönen Weihnachtslichtern. 15 Minuten mit dem Auto zum Strand. Immer wieder gerne.

Was not a good value for the price. The property personnel was not really friendly. The room temperature regulator was locked. No towels no amenity kits (was not expected but the experience did not feel like home).

Schöne Ferienwohnung, ruhig, nah an Amsterdam und nah an vielen anderen Ausflugsorte. Schnelle Zuganbindung nach Amsterdam (23 Minuten). Der See ist auch ganz in der Nähe. Die Wohnung war sauber mit moderner Ausstattung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Dame an der Reception war sehr hilfreich und hat uns sehr geholfen . Gerne wieder.

Is the holiday home easily accessible by public transport?

From Uitgeest station, it is 14 minutes by bus and then a 1-minute walk to the house. Walking distance from station is 1.9 km (about 24 walking minutes).

Are there enough parking spaces

You cannot park in front of the house, but 1 minute away are lots of spots.

Can you easily get to Amsterdam by public transport?

The bus stop is about a 15-minute walk away. From there, you can take a bus to Uitgeest station and then change trains to Amsterdam.

Is a fishing licence required?

Fishing is allowed from the terrace of the cottage without a permit. If you take a boat out onto the Alkmaardermeer to fish, you do need a permit. This cannot be purchased at reception.

Restaurant Havenrijk is located on a marina on the Uitgeestermeer lake. In winter, the fireplaces inside and outside provide extra cosiness and warmth. In summer, the terraces are perfect and the many boats and the clatter of the masts create a cosy and pleasant atmosphere
