About this holiday home

This holiday home is centrally located in the Eifel, near the famous Vulkan lakes. With its various rivers and dense forests, this region is wonderful for endless walks. In the middle of this natural beauty, you will find a cozy old farmhouse where the bistro and the holiday homes are located. This apartment lies on the ground floor and has a spacious living room and a luxurious adjustable bed. Breakfast or dinner can be enjoyed at the bistro, with a cozy beer garden. Dogs are very welcome.

Meisburg is a quiet, small Eifel village. The bistro where you will be staying is the place for entertainment, and there are also a few houses, a church, and a sports/playing field. The surroundings are characterized by dense forests where you can spot birds of prey, boar, and deer. Walkers have many beautiful routes to choose from. Just under 15 km away is the Nerother Kopf, on top of which (about 640 m) you will find a castle ruin and a cave. The cave was created because volcanic rock was cut away to make millstones. Quite a climb but well worth it. The volcanic lakes this part of the Eifel is famous for are also nearby. For example, visit the Meerfeldermaar. Here, you can see its geological history and swim when the weather is good. Afterward, you can head toward Manderscheid to explore its two castles. Once a year, medieval festivals are organized here. Another well-known place in this region is Daun. Here, you can find several shops and restaurants. There is also a very nice animal park. Outside the village is a summer tobogganing run (only in summer). In short, you love peace and nature and want an affordable holiday and good food. Then come to Meisburg.

Tip from the expert

Nature lovers should definitely head to Bettenfeld, where you will find the Mosenberg Volcanic Experience Park. The Mosenberg is an old volcano, which was partly excavated to extract volcanic rock. Now everything is open. As a visitor, you take a nice walk through the area. With many information boards, you learn all kinds of things. And nature is really impressive, especially the enormous lava wall
