Spend quality time with your party in a unique 1907 holiday home with historical charm. Ideal for large families looking for an unusual and spacious accommodation. In the loungeroom, relax by the wood-burning stove. Each bedroom reveals a unique story. For example, experience the Bavarian atmosphere in the 'Yodelahiti' room or the 'nostalgia room', where you can even spin a vinyl record on an authentic music system that has been around for over 60 years.
Waldeck is surrounded by breathtaking scenery, green forests, rolling hills and picturesque trails. Waldeck invites you to discover these natural wonders and experience the healing power of nature. Whether you like easy walks or more challenging treks, the hiking trails offer something for everyone.
Visit the castle ruins of Weidelsburg. The well-preserved ruins are located on a 492 m high basalt cone, about 4 km north of the town near Ippinghausen. From the ruins, you have great views of the surrounding area.
Lake Edersee is a large reservoir, near Waldeck. Both really worth visiting. Nice to combine with Waldeck Castle. This is a castle, situated on a wooded rocky hill, just west of the Hessian town of Waldeck. The castle is located in the northern part of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park on the northern shore of Lake Edersee. The castle can be reached from the town via a road.
Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe near Kassel is a large Baroque-style park that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It houses the famous statue of Hercules and an impressive waterfall, and it is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike.
Kassel is also a beautiful city to visit. As the home of the world art exhibition 'Documenta', Kassel is not only one of the most important art addresses in Europe, but also one of the greenest cities in Germany: its green surface area takes up around 60 percent. This makes Kassel a true oasis for anyone looking for peace and relaxation: because here, in the midst of greenery, between the Habicht Forest, Reinhardswald and Kaufunger Forest, health and wellness take centre stage with the Kassel Bad Wilhelmshöhe thermal salt baths. Also very famous, of course, are the Grimm brothers, known for their fairy tale collections, lived and worked in Kassel for a while. There is even a museum, the Brüder Grimm-Museum, dedicated to their life and work in the city.
Charging an e-car at the accommodation is possible and the costs are according to consumption (if possible) or at a flat rate and will be charged to you separately as an additional cost. For questions about charging specifications, contact the homeowner/contactperson on the spot before arrival. Illegal charging of a car is not allowed

We heartily recommend exploring the Heimatmuseum in Höringhausen, a hidden gem where dedicated volunteers are happy to take you on a fascinating journey through time (by appointment). For delicious pastries, be sure to drop by the more than 60-year-old Hasenacker in Naumburg, where the same family has been baking their own cakes for generations. We also recommend visiting the little church of Netze, its holiday home was the vicarage until a decade ago. Our hostess Frieda is also sexton of this historic little church and she will be happy to arrange a guided tour for you. Along the holiday home runs the cycling and hiking path the beautiful Bahnradweg, a former train track with tunnels and breathtaking views, ideal for a relaxing bike ride
