About this holiday home

This holiday home was recently purchased and still needs some modernization, but the views and location make it more than worth staying here! There is absolute silence here, with expansive views over the valley below. You will stay on the ground floor, with a large living room, kitchen, simple bathroom and a generous bedroom. There is a large terrace at the back of the house where you can enjoy the tranquillity, the beautiful views, and the large private pool.

Puy L'Eveque is 1 km away and has a beautiful medieval center on the Lot River. The neighboring town of Prayssac (3 km) has 1 of the most beautiful markets in the Lot region, with lots of organic produce. Both towns have plenty of restaurants and supermarkets to go to. The wine regions of Cahors wines are legion, and be sure to visit 1 of the many wine producers. The town of Cahors has an excellent market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, and visit the Pont Valantré. The Dordogne region is nearby, and in just under an hour, you can visit all the highlights on the Dordogne River, such as Domme, St Cyprien, and, of course, Sarlat.

Good to know

  • Charging an e-car at the accommodation is not possible and not allowed. Should you nevertheless charge your car illegally, the house owner/manager may, without discussion, hold you responsible for any damage and charge a fine

  • Upon departure, please empty all trash bins and leave garbage in the designated spot

Wir wurden von den Hosts des Hauses superfreundlich begrüßt und bekamen alles sehr gut erklärt. Das Haus hat uns begeistert und wir haben gefunden, was wir gesucht haben. Absolute Ruhe, Entspannung und eine Auszeit vom Alltag. Wir mochten vor allen Dingen die Authentizität des Hauses, die uns für ein paar Tage französisches Lebensgefühl hat erleben lassen. Das großzügige Haus und seine wunderbaren Ausblicke haben wir sehr genossen. Bei kleinen Problemchen haben Mat und Celine sofort reagiert und binnen kürzester Zeit geholfen. Kurz und gut, 5 Sterne und ein großes Danke.

We were greeted by a wonderful couple who manages the property. Their insight on surrounding towns, local markets and ne Charming property, with large rooms and beautiful balcony surrounded by tranquil views. Property is slightly rough around the edges, however, our stay was delightful and there isn’t anything bad we could say about our stay.

Hübsches Haus mit tollem Pool. Die Kommunikation über Villa for you und mit den Gastgebern vor Ort Celine und Mat verlief einwandfrei. Die Mikrowelle ging während unseres Aufenthalts kaputt und es wurde sofort eine neue besorgt und vorbeigebracht. Zur Begrüßung fanden wir eine Flasche Wein, Käse und ein Baguette vor. Und auch zum Abschied gab es etwas ( Überraschung ) ! Das fanden wir echt toll. Alles in allem hatten wir ein paar tolle Tage und empfehlen diese Unterkunft weiter an Menschen die eine ruhigen und entspannten Urlaub genießen möchten. Das, das Haus noch nicht modernisiert wurde hat uns nicht gestört aber an der Sauberkeit könnte noch gearbeitet werden ☺️ Liebe Grüße Andrea, Daniel und Ben

Tip from the expert

Go cycling along the Lot River; several companies rent bikes. You can also go horse riding, canoeing everywhere, and visit Bonaguil and Biron castles. There are also food markets in the summer months: Puy l'Eveque along the river on Wednesday evenings and Loubejac on Thursday evenings. Both are different but very worthwhile. Bring your plates, cutlery, and glasses!
