Besides, did you know that when there is enough snowfall, you can ski in the Ardennes? In Belgium you can enjoy every season. On a second place you can find the cultural heritage. Beautiful historical cities such as Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp make the culture lover's heart melt. Romantic alleys, beautiful old houses, shops and squares turn the cities into fairy tales. The Flanders fields museum in Ypres is one of the many places in the Westhoek that are reminiscent of the First World War. An important piece of Flemish history. On a good number three is the superb gastronomy. From real Belgian chocolate to mussels and chips. A Belgian pint of course is certainly part of the menu. Belgium is a true beer paradise with many breweries where they brew the tastiest special beers.

The attractions of Belgium
Belgium is made up of Flanders and Wallonia. Flanders consists of five provinces. The most famous is West Flanders with its beautiful coastline and beautiful renovated Art Nouveau buildings. Here you can get a breath of fresh air on the beaches of Knokke, Blankenberge, de Haan, Nieuwpoort or de Panne. Other provinces are Limburg, Antwerp, East Flanders and Flemish Brabant.
Wallonia also consists of five provinces including Liège, Luxembourg, Namur, Hainaut and Walloon Brabant. The beloved region, the Ardennes, is located in Wallonia. Each region has its own showpieces.
Time for action & culture!
The words active and Ardennes are inextricably linked. Abseiling, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking and survival are just a few of the many sporting activities the Ardennes has to offer. But also, cross-country skiing and even skiing in winter can be done in this versatile Belgium. In the warm summer you can take a refreshing walk through one of the many forests or through the beautiful nature reserve of the High Fens. Are you less sporty? As a cultural genius you will certainly find something to your liking here as well. A visit to Reinhardstein Castle, the caves of Han and Remouchamps is definitely something for you.
