This beautiful wooden chalet is located on a small chalet park in St. Georgen ob Murau in Styria, just 5 minutes from the famous Kreischberg ski area and offers fantastic views of the ski slopes and surrounding mountain landscape. The chalet is modern and comfortably furnished and features a large living/dining room, a modern open-plan kitchen, 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sauna, washing machine and dryer and a large covered wooden terrace. You can park directly at the chalet.
The small chalet park is located approx. 2 km west of the historic town of Murau, in a quiet yet central location surrounded by beautiful nature. It offers a beautiful view of the Schladminger Tauern to the north and the Gurktal Alps to the south. From the nearby Kreischbergbahn valley station, you can reach the extensive Kreischberg ski area at over 2,000 metres above sea level in no time at all, with a total of 42 kilometers of first-class, snow-sure pistes and 13 cable cars.
A winter holiday in the Murau region is an absolute experience. With a total of 7 ski mountains, over 40 lifts and 120 kilometers of pistes, Murau is the ideal place for all winter sports enthusiasts. The ski areas of Lachtal with 35 kilometers of pistes, Ski Grebenzen in St. Lambrecht with 27 kilometers of pistes and Turracher Höhe with 16 lifts and a total of 43 kilometers of first-class prepared pistes also offer unique skiing fun with a high alpine character.
The historical town of Murau can be reached in 5 minutes by car and offers a heated indoor swimming pool. The Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen Nature Park is located in the Murtal holiday region and can be reached in just 30 minutes by car. Many excursion destinations can be easily reached from the chalet using the Murtalbahn, as the Kaindorf Süd station is only 200 metres from the holiday park (in winter it also serves as a ski bus). There is also a large riding school nearby (1 km). In short, there is plenty to do here for young and old!
Many of the regional lakes, such as the romantic Furtnerteich or the mystical Podolerteich, offer free swimming fun against an impressive natural backdrop in summer. A visit to the Aqualux Therme in Fohnsdorf ensures pure relaxation all year round! The Murau region also offers one or more picturesque golf courses for a relaxing golf holiday, such as the Murau-Kreischberg Golf Club or the Grebenzen Golf Club.
In St. Georgen ob Murau and the surrounding area, as well as directly in Murau, there are plenty of shopping facilities and a good selection of restaurants.

A walk around the idyllic Etrachsee lake is absolutely a recommendation! This picturesque mountain lake lies at 1,374 metres above sea level and is framed by the peaks of the Niedere Tauern. The lake can be easily reached by car. After walking around the lake, stop off at the Gasthaus Karlhütte, where traditional Styrian cuisine is served!
In the nearby leisure centre in St. Lorenzen ob Murau (public swimming pool St. Lorenzen/Kreischberg) there is a heated swimming pool, a children's paddling pool and a children's playground. The centre also has tennis courts, a beach volleyball court and a skate park. Definitely a tip for a relaxing day of swimming in summer!
