This elegant detached chalet is located on a small chalet park in the village of Hohentauern in Styria, on a sunny slope with a spectacular mountain panorama and just a few metres from the ski lift! The chalet features a spacious living/dining room, a modern open-plan kitchen, four double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which has an integrated infrared cabine and spa bath, a washing machine, a large wooden terrace with hot tub, a garden and a ski/bike room. You can park directly at the chalet.
The chalet park is in the heart of Hohentauern, a charming mountain village in Styria. At an altitude of 1,274 meters, it is surrounded by the impressive mountain scenery and unspoilt nature of the Niedere Tauern.
Styria becomes Austria's 'white heart' in winter, with picturesque ski resorts and a magical snowy landscape! The Hohentauern ski area, with 11 kilometres of pistes, is within walking distance (the ski lift is just a few metres from the chalet park!) and boasts wide, groomed slopes, pistes of all levels of difficulty, from blue to red to black, and numerous deep snow variants.
Other ski areas in the region include the Lachtal ski area, with 36 kilometres of pistes and ski routes; the well-known Kreischberg/Murau ski area, with 42 kilometres of excellently groomed pistes; and the Riesneralm family ski area in Donnersbachwald, where over 30 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes invite you to carve and ski! The nearby Kaiserau ski area in Admont is ideal for beginners and offers 3-kilometres pistes.
The 18-kilometre-long, perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails in the Hohentauern ski area offer various options for cross-country skiers.
In summer, the Murtal adventure region offers various hiking and mountain tours of all difficulty levels and a large selection of mountain bike trails and leisurely cycle paths. The summer is also known for the public swimming pools and bathing lakes such as the Gaishorn Am See bathing lake, the Wald Am Schoberpass leisure lake, the Putterersee lake in Aigen im Ennstal or the Pöls organic bathing pond in Dobl. Just 35 kilometres away is the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, a tip for all motorsport fans and motorcyclists!
The village of Hohentauern and its surroundings offer many excursion destinations, plenty of shopping opportunities, and a good selection of restaurants.
