This detached premium chalet is located on a small chalet park in the village of Hohentauern in Styria, on a sunny slope with magnificent mountain views. The chalet has a large living room, a modern open-plan kitchen with dining table, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a cot and high chair, an infrared sauna, washing machine and tumble dryer, ski storage, 2 bicycles for hire, a carport and a large terrace. The ski lift to the Ski Hohentauern ski area is less than 200 metres from the chalet!.
The traditionally designed chalet park is located in Hohentauern, a picturesque mountain village in Styria, at an altitude of 1,274 meters in the midst of the impressive mountain world of the Niedere Tauern. Surrounded by unspoilt nature, the village in the vacation region Murau offers a perfect blend of tranquillity and activity.
In winter, Styria is transformed into Austria's 'white heart' with beautiful ski resorts. The Hohentauern ski area with 11 kilometers of pistes is within walking distance (in winter the ski lift is only 200m from the chalet park!) and boasts natural snow pistes and a snow-making system from the Moscher valley station to the middle station (1550m above sea level). This means you can ski from the summit (1800m) down to the valley on perfectly snow-covered pistes. Wide, groomed ski slopes, pistes of all levels of difficulty from blue, red to black and numerous deep snow variants await you.
Other ski areas in the region include the Riesneralm family ski area in Donnersbachwald, where over 30 kilometers of perfectly groomed pistes invite you to carve and ski, the Kreischberg/Murau ski area with 42 kilometers of first-class groomed pistes and the Lachtal ski area with 36 kilometers of slopes and ski routes. The nearby Kaiserau ski area in Admont is ideal for beginners and offers 3 kilometers of pistes.
For cross-country skier, the various untracked and perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails in the Hohentauern ski area offer a wide range of options in various levels of difficulty over a total length of 18 kilometers. The nearest access point is also just 200 metres from the chalet park.
In summer, this chalet scores with its central location in the Murtal adventure region, as Hohentauern is the perfect place to go on hiking and mountain tours of all levels of difficulty, explore mountain bike trails and discover leisurely cycle paths. Summer is also known for the public swimming pools, the many mountain lakes, bathing lakes such as the Gaishorn Am See bathing lake or the Wald Am Schoberpass leisure lake and the thermal baths. Motorsport fans and motorcyclists also get their money's worth, as the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg is only around 35 kilometers away.
The small village of Hohentauern and the surrounding area offers many excursion destinations, plenty of shopping opportunities and a good selection of restaurants.
Charging an e-car at the accommodation is not possible and not allowed. Should you nevertheless charge your car illegally, the house owner/manager may, without discussion, hold you responsible for any damage and charge a fine
