Enjoy luxury and privacy in this detached chalet! Alpine character is evident in the spacious living room with modern open-plan kitchen and direct access to the terrace. The chalet has 4 large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a Finnish sauna with infrared cabin and double shower. There is also a hot tub for 6 people with underwater lighting, bubbles and jet stream and there is a cosy lounge area for 8 people. For electric or hybrid cars, there is a free charging point at the chalet.

A big advantage of Donnersbachtal is its location in the Austrian state of Styria, not far from Salzburgerland. You pass the border crossing at Passau and thus avoid Munich. As a result, even in high season, you'll drive towards your holiday traffic jam-free! The accommodation in Donnersbachwald is located on a gentle slope with breathtaking views. With its fantastic location near the Riesneralm valley station, the park offers direct access to nature and a babbling brook. The Austrian winter transforms the area into a fairyland with two snow-sure ski areas, Riesneralm and Planneralm, together accounting for 50 km of slopes. For families, the child-friendly Riesneralm is ideal. Looking for variety? Try the natural toboggan run or cross-country trails close to the chalet. Summer reveals a different kind of magic with various hiking trails, mountain huts, the challenging 5-Gipfelweg, 3D archery, the E-Enduro Bikepark and fly-fishing. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the unique Gipfel pool, at 1900 metres above sea level, and admire the 360-degree view there. Mountain lakes and streams will cool you down on hot summer days. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Der Aufenthalt war von Anfang bis Ende zur vollsten Zufriedenheit. Vom Wohnen über Wellness bis hin zur Kulinarik, man konnte sich alles optimal gestalten. Die 4 Zimmer waren relativ gleich aufgeteilt. Der Wohn und Essbereich war groß genug um abends zu entspannen oder Spiele zu spielen. Die Küche hatte jegliche Utensilien. Der Saunabereich war Top.

Wir hatten zu 8 Erwachsenen und einem Hund einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Das Chalet ist mit viel Holz und Geschmack eingerichtet. Es steht ein genügend großer Esstisch und ein gemütliches Sofa zur Verfügung. Die 4 gleichwertigen Schlafzimmer verfügen über bequeme Betten, die 2 kompletten Bäder im Obergeschoss sind modern eingerichtet. Das Bad im Untergeschoss hat neben einem Doppelwaschbecken und einer großen Dusche auch eine Sauna. Selbst Aufgussdüfte stehen zur Verfügung. Das WC ist separat. Die offene Küche ist überkomplett eingerichtet. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Den Hottub auf der Terrasse haben wir nicht genutzt. Skifahrer finden auf der Riesneralm eine Möglichkeit, ihrem Hobby zu frönen. Es gibt auch für Nicht-Skifahrer in der Umgebung einiges zu tun. Wir hatten viel Spaß beim Winterwandern auf geräumten Wanderwegen, beim Schlittenfahren und Eisstockschießen. Alles in Allem ein gelungener Urlaub.

Het huis was voor ons perfect. Erg sfeervol en luxe. Het skigebied is klein (maar helemaal prima en mooi), en daardoor waarschijnlijk ook niet zo overvol en druk. Dat vonden wij fijn. Je moet wel in ieder geval boodschappen meenemen voor je aankomstdag en de volgende ochtend. De supermarkt in de buurt is beperkt qua openingstijden (rond kerst in ieder geval) en assortiment. De grote supermarkt ligt wel op 20 minuten rijden. Er zijn ook niet veel restaurants die tot laat open zijn (ook weer; rond kerst). Dus dat is goed om te weten. Maar dat gaven jullie zelf ook al aan.

If you are coming from Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany, we recommend driving into Austria at the border crossing at PASSAU. This will avoid MÜNCHEN. If you drive this way, there is the least chance of traffic jams.

How big and extensive is the on-site supermarket?

We recommend doing your shopping on the way to the holiday home. The local supermarket is small and open for a limited time.

Is it possible to hire a bathrobe or sauna towel on site?

It is possible to rent a bathrobe and/or sauna towel from the caretaker. Ask for the possibilities and rates on site

Will there be a BBQ?

Yes, there is a BBQ on site. However, you may need to clean the grill yourself before use.

As for the ski storage located in the chalet, there is a ski boot heating rack for 10 pairs of ski boots/mountain shoes, in addition there is a ski rack in the garden house where 10 pairs of skis or snowboards can be hung. In this lockable garden house you can safely store your bicycles in the summer and also charge electric bikes. There is a bench XL for dogs with the size 107x69x76 and a matching partition for puppies. The bathroom on the ground floor is equipped with a double shower. For the cot, an appropriate mattress and a corresponding mattress protector are available. You must bring your own linen
