This accommodation is located at a holiday park Riesneralm Chalets
This luxurious, detached chalet combines style with Austrian charm. The wood-finished hallway leads to a stylishly furnished living room with sitting and dining area and modern, fully equipped kitchen. The chalet offers many extras such as a Finnish sauna, double rain shower and bathtub with jet stream function. There is a spacious, covered terrace with lounge set, luxury picnic table and BBQ, where you can enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery. Ideal for a relaxing holiday in the mountains!.
A big advantage of Donnersbachtal is its location in the Austrian state of Styria, not far from Salzburgerland. You pass the border crossing at Passau and thus avoid Munich. As a result, even in high season, you'll drive towards your holiday traffic jam-free! The accommodation in Donnersbachwald is located on a gentle slope with breathtaking views. With its fantastic location near the Riesneralm valley station, the park offers direct access to nature and a babbling brook.
The Austrian winter transforms the area into a fairyland with two snow-sure ski areas, Riesneralm and Planneralm, together accounting for 50 km of slopes. For families, the child-friendly Riesneralm is ideal. Looking for variety? Try the natural toboggan run or cross-country trails close to the chalet.
Summer reveals a different kind of magic with various hiking trails, mountain huts, the challenging 5-Gipfelweg, 3D archery, the E-Enduro Bikepark and fly-fishing. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the unique Gipfel pool, at 1900 metres above sea level, and admire the 360-degree view there. Mountain lakes and streams will cool you down on hot summer days. A dream spot from January to December!

At what altitude is this chalet park situated?
± 1000 metres altitude.
Are pets allowed in this holiday home?
No, pets are not allowed in this house.
Which border crossing do you recommend for the approach route?
If you are coming from Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany, we recommend driving into Austria at the border crossing at PASSAU. This will avoid MÜNCHEN. If you drive this way, there is the least chance of traffic jams.
How many parking spaces are there at the property?
There is 1 parking space at the house. If you arrive with more cars than the number of parking spaces at the chalet, we kindly ask you to park them in the general car park at the ski slope. This is to prevent parked cars from making optimal snow clearance impossible.
How big and extensive is the on-site supermarket?
We recommend doing your shopping on the way to the holiday home. The local supermarket is small and open for a limited time.
Is it possible to hire a bathrobe or sauna towel on site?
It is possible to rent a bathrobe and/or sauna towel from the caretaker. Ask for the possibilities and rates on site
Will there be a BBQ?
Yes, there is a BBQ on site. However, you may need to clean the grill yourself before use.
Enjoy your well-earned rest under the covered terrace with dining table and lounge set.
For children, there is plenty to do in Donnersbachwald. For example, there is the TierHOLZpark, a play park with large wooden animals made from materials from the surrounding area. Each animal is three to four metres high and is a small playground inside. Meanwhile, the playground also has an educational function, because you can learn everything about the animals that live in the area.
