The Donnersbachwald residence is located on a gentle slope with breathtaking views. With its fantastic location near the Riesneralm valley station, the park offers direct access to nature and a babbling brook. The Austrian winter transforms the area into a fairyland with two snow-sure ski areas, Riesneralm and Planneralm, together accounting for 50 km of slopes. For families, the child-friendly Riesneralm is ideal. Looking for variety? Try the natural toboggan run or cross-country trails close to the chalet. Summer reveals a different kind of magic with various hiking trails, mountain huts, the challenging 5-Gipfelweg, 3D archery, the E-Enduro Bikepark and fly-fishing. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the unique Gipfel pool, at 1900 metres above sea level, and admire the 360-degree view there. Mountain lakes and streams will cool you down on hot summer days. A dream spot from January to December! .

Das Chalet ist super schön und neuwertig. Es war gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Die Sauna war ein Traum und wurde von uns oft genutzt. Die Betten waren gemütlich und es waren überall getrennte Matratzen. Die Küche war auch sehr gut ausgestattet und es hatte nichts gefehlt. Es gab eine Waschmaschine und Trockner, die prima funktionierten. Das Beste am Haus war der beheizte Schuhtrockner. Da konnte man Schuhe, Skischuhe und was sonst noch nass geworden war nach einem Skitag, trocknen. Der Verwalter von den Chalets war immer zu erreichen und hat sich gekümmert. Die Gegend ist sehr schön und fußläufig zum Skigebiet Riesneralm erreichbar. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Goed Zeer compleet huisje Vaatwasser deed het in eerste instantie niet. Niemand van de contactpersonen nam de telefoon op. Ook niet terugbellen.

Which border crossing do you recommend for the approach route?

If you are coming from Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany, we recommend driving into Austria at the border crossing at PASSAU. This will avoid MÜNCHEN. If you drive this way, there is the least chance of traffic jams.

How many parking spaces are there at the property?

There is 1 parking space at the house. If you arrive with more cars than the number of parking spaces at the chalet, we kindly ask you to park them in the general car park at the ski slope. This is to prevent parked cars from making optimal snow clearance impossible.

How big and extensive is the on-site supermarket?

We recommend doing your shopping on the way to the holiday home. The local supermarket is small and open for a limited time.

Is it possible to hire a bathrobe or sauna towel on site?

For children, there is plenty to do in Donnersbachwald. For example, there is the TierHOLZpark, a play park with large wooden animals made from materials from the surrounding area. Each animal is three to four metres high and is a small playground inside. Meanwhile, the playground also has an educational function, because you can learn everything about the animals that live in the area.
