About this holiday home

This detached chalet on a small park offers privacy and luxury combined with an Alpine-style interior. It features a beautiful entrance hall, a room for ski storage, a generous living room and a modern kitchen with access to the terrace. For children, there are games and toys inside, and outside in the summer season there is a playground with two swings, climbing rope and slide. The spacious downstairs bathroom has a Finnish sauna, infrared panels and a double rain shower.

The Donnersbachwald residence is located on a gentle slope with breathtaking views. With its fantastic location near the Riesneralm valley station, the park offers direct access to nature and a babbling brook. The Austrian winter transforms the area into a fairyland with two snow-sure ski areas, Riesneralm and Planneralm, together accounting for 50 km of slopes. For families, the child-friendly Riesneralm is ideal. Looking for variety? Try the natural toboggan run or cross-country trails close to the chalet. Summer reveals a different kind of magic with various hiking trails, mountain huts, the challenging 5-Gipfelweg, 3D archery, the E-Enduro Bikepark and fly-fishing. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the unique Gipfel pool, at 1900 metres above sea level, and admire the 360-degree view there. Mountain lakes and streams will cool you down on hot summer days. Accommodation was fantastic. Very well equipped. Sauna was awesome, heated quickly. In beginning of January there was hardly any people on the slopes. I will be remembering this holidays for a while...... :) No bins for sorted waste

Wir (7 Pers.) hatten eine tolle Woche in der Unterkunft. Der Aufenthaltsraum war gemütlich und vorallem die Sauna haben wir viel genutzt. Die Ausstattung war sehr üppig, eigentlich alles da was man zur Selbstverpflegung braucht, insbesondere in der Küche. Von der Unterkunft aus kann man einige Wanderrouten starten. Restaurants und Supermärkte sind ca 15min mit dem Auto entfernt. Wir können das schöne Häuschen weiterempfehlen!

Which border crossing do you recommend for the approach route?

If you are coming from Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany, we recommend driving into Austria at the border crossing at PASSAU. This will avoid MÜNCHEN. If you drive this way, there is the least chance of traffic jams.

How big and extensive is the on-site supermarket?

We recommend doing your shopping on the way to the holiday home. The local supermarket is small and open for a limited time.

Is it possible to hire a bathrobe or sauna towel on site?
