This detached chalet combines privacy with an atmospheric Alpine character. The spacious living room with open kitchen has a direct access to the large terrace with luxurious lounge set. Here you will enjoy the view of the mountains! The Finnish sauna with infrared panel and a double rain shower offer ultimate comfort. Outside is a generous wood-fired hot tub. A heated room for ski equipment, a children's corner with toys and games and 2 parkings with charging station complete the picture.

A big advantage of Donnersbachtal is its location in the Austrian state of Styria, not far from Salzburgerland. You pass the border crossing at Passau and thus avoid Munich. As a result, even in high season, you'll drive towards your holiday traffic jam-free! The accommodation in Donnersbachwald is located on a gentle slope with breathtaking views. With its fantastic location near the Riesneralm valley station, the park offers direct access to nature and a babbling brook. The Austrian winter transforms the area into a fairyland with two snow-sure ski areas, Riesneralm and Planneralm, together accounting for 50 km of slopes. For families, the child-friendly Riesneralm is ideal. Looking for variety? Try the natural toboggan run or cross-country trails close to the chalet. Summer reveals a different kind of magic with various hiking trails, mountain huts, the challenging 5-Gipfelweg, 3D archery, the E-Enduro Bikepark and fly-fishing. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the unique Gipfel pool, at 1900 metres above sea level, and admire the 360-degree view there. Mountain lakes and streams will cool you down on hot summer days. Which border crossing do you recommend for the approach route?

If you are coming from Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany, we recommend driving into Austria at the border crossing at PASSAU. This will avoid MÜNCHEN. If you drive this way, there is the least chance of traffic jams.

How many parking spaces are there at the property?

There is 1 parking space at the house. If you arrive with more cars than the number of parking spaces at the chalet, we kindly ask you to park them in the general car park at the ski slope. This is to prevent parked cars from making optimal snow clearance impossible.

How big and extensive is the on-site supermarket?

We recommend doing your shopping on the way to the holiday home. The local supermarket is small and open for a limited time.

Is it possible to hire a bathrobe or sauna towel on site?

It is possible to rent a bathrobe and/or sauna towel from the caretaker. Ask for the possibilities and rates on site

Is there a BBQ?

Yes, there is a BBQ on site. However, you may need to clean the grill yourself before use.

Our chalet is child-friendly and has a separate children's corner where the children can enjoy themselves with board games or a film. In the bedrooms all beds can be separated if you wish. The chalet is located at the edge of the forest and has an unobstructed view of the mountains.
