About this holiday home

This detached chalet is located right on the slopes of the popular Königsleiten ski area, making it a real ski-in and ski-out. After a long day in the mountains, you can relax in the private sauna, accessible from outside. And with the typical Austrian décor, the holiday atmosphere is always right at home! On the second floor are bedrooms with bedsteads. Please note: Resort Alpenwelt facilities (including wellness) are at an additional charge.

Enjoy together the cosiness of the village with its various shops and restaurants and that of nearby Gerlos. Königsleiten is located at a snow-sure altitude of 1,600 metres, on the border of Salzburgerland and Tyrol. The chalet belongs to the luxury wellness resort, Alpenwelt, where you can make use of a lovely indoor spa pool, massage, hay bed and relaxation room with breathtaking views of the mountain world. You can also book your breakfast and dinner here on site. Are you travelling with small children? Then you can also use the kids' club for a fee. In summer, there are many opportunities for hiking and mountain biking. Nearby, you will find many attractions such as the reservoir near Gerlos where you can go pedal boating in summer. A visit to Europe's largest waterfalls in nearby Krimml should not be missed either.

Het is een toplocatie: direct aan de piste en minder dan 100 meter van de gondel van het dalstation. De service vanuit het Alpenwelt Resort hotel is zeer goed: inchecktijd is officieel 15.00 maar wij waren al vroeg in de ochtend met 2 hondjes aanwezig en mochten met de hondjes wachten in het restaurant van het hotel (Susi Alm). Communictie hierover ook goed en snel. We konden uiteindelijk al om 12.00 uur inchecken, heel fijn . Op de laatste dag vertrokken enkelen van onze groep pas om 17.00 en mochten tot die tijd hun bagage achter de balie bij het hotel neerzetten. Ook heel fijn! Ze hadden daarnaast heel attent voor onze 2 hondjes voer- en waterbakjes en dekentjes klaar gezet in het chalet. Het Chalet H zelf is wat verouderd en wat oubollig, maar prima. Goed werkende apparatuur in de keuken en voldoende glazen, bestek etc. Een paar goede messen om groente etc mee te snijden zouden wel fijn zijn!

Het chalet, gepresenteerd als onderdeel van het luxe wellnessresort Alpenwelt, voldeed totaal niet aan de beloften van luxe en comfort. Zo waren bijvoorbeeld de slaapvoorzieningen ver ondermaats voor de helft van onze groep, zeker gezien de torenhoge huurprijs van bijna € 15.000,00 per week. Bij aankomst waren er diverse gebreken o.a. kapotte lampen, een niet-werkende sauna en geen koud water op de benedenverdieping, met schimmel in de badkamer, verwarming ging kapot. Dit toont een gebrek aan zorg en onderhoud. Parkeerpassen die niet werkten. Ondanks de perfecte ligging vereist het chalet dringende renovatie om een acceptabel niveau van luxe en comfort te halen. Daarnaast zorgde de King's Bar apres-ski tot diep in de nacht voor flinke geluidsoverlast. De keuken werkte goed, ondanks te weinig borden, te veel bierglazen, te weinig messen (en mesjes), te weinig kommen.
